Each year on Super Bowl Sunday we meet a challenge to deck out in our favorite team’s colors/gear and bring cans of soup as the “penalty” for each item we wear. And just in case you are not a football fan, you can participate by wearing any team gear. (i.e., MLB, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, WNBA, etc.) and/or your alma mater). The cans are placed on our prayer altar for blessing by the Holy Spirit during our worship service and then we donate the soup to local food pantries.
